A BRAND new staircase was recently opened providing access from the north end of London Bridge to the Riverside Walk below.
The elegant addition commissioned by the City of London was designed by bere:architects using “intricately designed curved bowstring truss metal screens.”
Featuring information panels and becoming a new vantage point for Tower Bridge and the upper pool, the staircase replaces the narrow steps at the side of the 1970s-built bridge that were often congested.
